Today I visited a fellow flipper's project, as part of GA REIA's in-town rehabbers. It was destiny for us to work together :).

Background - My brother had previously mentioned that he met an investor that I thought I needed to meet. Then on the SAME DAY I went to my first GA REIA General Meeting. A member of the Board and new mentor of mine said, "There is someone I think you should meet..." Yes, he mentioned the same person as my brother! They were both right! The first time I met her, I felt like we had known each other for years!

Then today, I got to see the property she was renovating. When I walked in, I felt like I was in my own home. The quality and the finish choices and the floor plan, I would have chosen for my own home. While I was looking around the property, I ran into the owner and she showed me some of the before pictures. The transformation was amazing! Then out of no where, I asked her to consult with me. In all my research I had learned that having a partner who knows the ropes for your first flip or two is crucial. All my years of Project Management, are a good foundation, but having real life experience is priceless. To my pleasant surprise, she agreed to be my partner. Now, I just need to find us a property to flip! I am very thankful for my new Partner in Crime, and a hunting I will go!
